HUNTINGTON – The Huntington City Council completed the final procedural steps during its regular meeting on Tuesday morning to annex the Flint Creek Development Area.

Ordinance 9-C-22 annexing the area, consisting of about 59.85 acres north of U.S. 24 adjacent to Parkview Hospital, goes into effect on August 15, 2022.

The land will be zoned B2-Business and added to City Council District 1.

City Council had received a petition for voluntary annexation on May 10, 2022. A public hearing was held two weeks later on May 24.
