INDOT Announces Highway 24 Traffic Shift

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces traffic pattern changes on U.S. 24 in Huntington.

Starting on or after Friday, August 18, traffic will be switched to the outside lanes on U.S. 24 from west of Flaxmill Road to east of Guilford Street.

This traffic shift is part of the ongoing construction on U.S. 24 to build slotted left turn lanes at the major intersections from Flaxmill Road to Broadway Street.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
