Currently, there are two major bridge projects occurring within the county. The first is the bridge at 900S and Belleville Road. The other bridge is on 700S, east of 500W.

The bridge on 900S is a federal aid bridge, meaning the Commissioners applied for and were granted more than $3 million for the rehabilitation of the bridge. The County is responsible for only 20 percent of the cost.

The bridge on 700S is a local project and is being paid out of local bridge funds.

Both projects are expected to be completed before the end of November.

Also, the Commissioners applied for and were granted more than $3 million for the rehabilitation of the bridge on LaFontaine Street. The construction for this project will begin in 2027. The Commissioners also applied for and were awarded $1.6 million dollars for a bridge rehabilitation on County Road 975W.
