Landfill

The Huntington City Landfill permanently closed in March 2019 and no longer accepts solid waste, construction debris, concrete or the like. The landfill had served the Huntington community since 1970.

Solid Waste – Hazardous Waste

Huntington County operates the Solid Waste District, which remains open for business at the landfill site. The Solid Waste District provides a place to dispose of hazardous waste, used electronics, unused pharmaceutical products and much more. Brush/Grass Clippings/Leaves Disposal

Brush, grass clippings and leaves continue to be accepted from Huntington County residents only from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Please note that acceptance or disposal fees are subject to change. Questions can be directed to (260) 356-0432.

Yard Waste Management

Brown bag pickup is offered by the City Services department to assist residents with the disposal of grass clippings, hedge trimmings, leaves and small twigs/branches. To schedule brown bags for pick up, please call (260) 356-4720 and follow the prompts.

Orange Sticker Program – Large Item Pickup
