The City of Huntington is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible, full-time employees who work 30 hours per week and have 60 days of service.

Employees share the costs of some benefits (medical and dental), and the City of Huntington provides other benefits at no cost to employees (life, accidental death & dismemberment, short-term disability and long-term disability). In addition, there is dependent life insurance and voluntary vision benefits with reasonable group rates that employees can purchase through City of Huntington payroll deductions.

Eligibility

Employees and their dependents are eligible for City of Huntington benefits on the first day following 60 days of full-time employment (unless noted otherwise above).

Eligible dependents include a spouse, children under age 26, disabled dependents of any age, or City of Huntington eligible dependents.

Elections made will remain until the next open enrollment unless an employee or his/her family members experience a qualifying event. Following a qualifying event, the employee must contact City Human Resources within 30 days.
