Police Department Introduces K9 Officer Dom

The Huntington Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Dustin Offenberger and his K9 partner, Dom, have successfully completed an intensive 14-week training program. With the completion of this program, K9 Dom has been formally certified and welcomed as the newest member of the Huntington Police Department.

Throughout their training, Officer Offenberger and Dom developed critical skills necessary for effective K9 operations. Dom is now certified in narcotics detection, tracking individuals, and criminal apprehension. The team will be working various shifts to support ongoing enforcement efforts, assist officers in the field, and enhance public safety throughout the community.

The Huntington Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to our community partners and supporters. Their generous contributions over the past year made this new K9 team possible. This investment directly enhances the safety and well-being of the City of Huntington.
