Omega III LLC’s crews are making great progress at H.K. Porter, with about 75 percent of the roughly 80,000-square-foot facility now demolished.

Omega is using a wet demolition method that involves a continuous flow of water to control dust. The site operated as a manufacturing facility from 1919 to 1999, and cleanup of environmental contaminants is a top priority.

The City will host a neighborhood meeting to update the community on November 24 at 6 p.m. The location will be Council Chambers on the third floor of the City Building.
