Mark your calendars, Huntington!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, with the 2025 Christmas season following just behind. Here are some important dates for community-favorite activities you don’t want to miss.
10 a.m. November 8 – Veterans Day Parade
The parade route will begin at Huntington North, following Jefferson Street and East/West Park Drive to Memorial Park. A patriotic ceremony at the park will immediately follow the parade.
3 to 7 p.m. November 15 – HU Cheer Holiday Market
Huntington University’s cheer team hosts its third annual Craft Show at the HU Fieldhouse. With 40+ vendors signed up, come browse a huge selection of handmade and homemade clothing, jewelry, baked goods and more.
8 a.m. November 27 – Turkey Trot
Pathfinder’s 5k run and one-wile walk are a Thanksgiving tradition that back a good cause. Sign up now to support children and programming at Pathfinder’s Early Learning Center.
3 p.m. November 29 – Christmas in the City
Meet Santa at the Courthouse and follow his sleigh over to the Rotary Park tree when it lights up later in the day. There’s always a huge variety family activities and great food. Check back for more details soon!
6 p.m. November 29 – Rotary Park Christmas Tree Lighting
Huntington Parks & Recreation kicks off the holiday season each year by lighting up the Rotary Park Christmas tree. Bring your family and friends, bundle up, grab some hot cocoa and celebrate the Christmas spirit!
5:30 p.m. November 30 – Sunken Gardens Wreath Lighting
Sunken Garden’s Christmas wreath and light display are Huntington’s signature holiday décor. The countdown to flipping the switch starts just before 6 p.m. Come early to enjoy hot cocoa and Christmas carols.
December 13 & 14 – Christmas at the Forks
The Festival of Trees and Wreaths is just one of the highlights. Local groups, businesses, organizations and families are encouraged to join the fun and showcase their holiday spirit. There’s also a free Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Brunch (tickets required) as part of the festivities.
