HUNTINGTON – One in eight Americans struggles with hunger. Together, we can help.
The Huntington Fire Department will do its part by teaming up with Kroger this Saturday for a Firefighters Fighting Hunger food drive. Local firefighters will be at the Huntington Kroger location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. September 13 to accept non-perishable donations.
All food donated will help supply the local food bank at United With Love.
Requested items include:
- Peanut butter.
- Canned chicken, tuna or salmon.
- Canned black beans, kidney beans, garbanzo beans and lentils.
- Canned fruit packed in juice.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. By coming together as a community, we can help ensure that no family in Huntington goes without a meal. Stop by, say hello to our local firefighters and help fill the shelves at United With Love. Your generosity can make a lasting impact.
