Cyclists meet HARTA President and bike shop staff in Huntington.
Cyclists Charlie Nuck and Todd Downey (second and third from left) met HARTA President Mike Skeens, Huntington Bicycle Shop owner Brooks Fetters and staff during a stop on their cross-country trip.

It was a pleasure to welcome Charlie Nuck and Todd Downey to Huntington! They are cycling across the country to raise awareness for Angelman Syndrome, a rare neurogenetic condition that affects Charlie’s niece.

They’ve since departed on the next leg of their journey, but they met Mayor Strick for lunch and got their bikes tuned up at the Huntington Bicycle Shop before leaving Huntington.

The cyclists left Anacortes, Washington, on May 27, and plan to end their trek to Bar Harbor, Maine, on July 26. They can cover 80 miles per day, on average. The total distance of their trip is 4,326 miles.

Help us wish Charlie and Todd good luck on the rest of their journey! Learn more about their Bike 4 Briar campaign at https://give.cureangelman.org/event/b4b-bike-for-briar/e596452.
