On February 19, 2026, the Town of Warren, Indiana, received from the Warren Plan Commission, a certification to consider and adopt a text amendment to the Warren Unified Development Ordinance (“UDO”) to place a moratorium on Data Centers, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Carbon Sequestration projects. At a public hearing held on February 18, 2026, the proposed text amendment received a Favorable Recommendation from the Warren Plan Commission, by a vote of 9-1. The Town Council for the Town of Warren intends to consider the following Ordinance Number during a meeting at the date, time and place referenced above:

Ordinance #2026-05 Docket WPC-26-001: Application filed by the Warren Plan Commission requesting adoption of a text amendment to the Warren Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to place a moratorium on Data Centers, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Carbon Sequestration projects in Warren, Indiana.
