Restoration and beautification work continued last week at Sunken Gardens.

Invasive plants are being removed to protect the structural integrity of the stone walls and make room for native species to thrive. Ongoing upkeep will prevent plants and roots from growing inside the wall’s nooks and crevices.

Native plants will begin to establish themselves and grow along the top rim in the next growing season, so we expect Sunken Gardens’ appearance to be a little different from what we’re all used to seeing for a short time.

Thanks for your understanding and support as we work to protect and preserve this treasured community space.
