The Huntington County Council has multiple Board Appointments available for interested citizens to serve on starting in 2026. Appointments include a seat on the Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) Board, which is a one-year term starting on January 1, 2026, and expiring on December 31, 2026. Candidates must be 21 years of age and must have lived in the county for the past five years. Applicants cannot be a full- or part-time public employee or hold a lucrative government office.

Also available, is a seat on the Property Tax Board of Appeals (PTABOA). This appointment is for a term of one year, starting on January 1, 2026, and expiring on December 31, 2026. The PTABOA meets on an as-needed basis.

If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, applications are available at the Auditor’s office or online at www.huntington.in.us/egov/documents/1446130688_218902.pdf. After completing the application, either mail or bring it to the Auditor’s Office by noon on December 1, 2025.
