The Huntington Police Department invites the community to “Pack the Cruiser” during a food drive this weekend. 

Saturday’s four-hour food drive will take place at the Huntington Kroger location from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to address a variety of food needs, particularly for children during the summer months.

The following products are among the items especially appreciated by the local food banks and pantries receiving the donations:

• Peanut butter (plastic jar)
• Jelly (plastic jar)
• Canned fruit and vegetables
• Cereal boxes
• Granola bars
• Applesauce and fruit cups
• Instant oatmeal
• Mac & cheese cups
• Canned tuna and chicken
