Traffic Infraction Deferral Program
Overview
If you wish to be considered for the Traffic Infraction Deferral Program, please complete this form and a representative of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office will contact you.
Criteria to Participate in Program
- No conviction for a moving violation in the past 12 months from the date of the new infraction.
- No misdemeanor driving convictions in the past 5 years from the date of the new infraction.
- Have not participated in any pre-trial diversion or deferral program in any county within 12 months from the date of the new infraction.
- No more than 4 current points on your operator's license.
- Not hold a commercial driver's license (even if you were not driving a commercial vehicle at the time of the infraction).
Six-Month Program
Eligible Offenses
- Speeding (1-15 mph)
- Any other two-point violation - Point Table (PDF)
Cost
- $192.50 payable upon entry into the program
12-Month Program
Eligible Offenses
- Speeding (16-25 mph)
- Any other 4-point violation - Point Table (PDF)
Cost
- $252.50 payable upon entry into the program
