Mayor's Advisory Council on Community Accessibility

In the summer of 2012 the City of Huntington worked with a consultant on Accessibility and the Americans with Disabilities Act and did an evaluation of the level of accessibility in city owned buildings. The information gained from this process was enlightening and provided important targets for improving public accessibility. The Fetters administration is committed to being proactive in finding workable solutions to make city owned facilities accessible to people with varying levels of ability.  As part of this process, Mayor Fetters has formed a Mayor's Advisory Council on Community Accessibility. He will be working with this advisory council to help increase public awareness with the goal of making the City of Huntington more accessible for all of our residents and visitors.
